Our 24th anniversary trip to California was a blast! We decided to see a few things that were new to us this year, including Yosemite and Wine Country! We flew into Sacramento and made the very long drive through winding mountain turns to Yosemite. Our hotel was right outside the south entrance of the park and after eating a nice supper, we headed into the park to capture this sunset view of Yosemite Valley.
We drove around a bit to see a few other items, getting lost in the detours and road construction. :)
The next day we awoke, bright and early, and did some hiking and exploring.
We made our way up the steep drive to Glacier point. The view was worth the terror on the drive up.
After leaving Yosemite (right before all the Memorial Day tourists began to arrive!), we started the long drive up to the Napa area. Central California is not our favorite drive. :)
